Frequently Asked Questions
What's with the name Frag Out?
In the military when someone throws a grenade they yell Frag Out to let everyone else know to take cover. We went with the name to represent the attitude that service members and first responders have when faced with danger. We tend to have the mentality to run towards the danger, without hesitation. "When In Doubt, Frag Out!!"
What are you guys about?
At Frag Out, we not only produce the most comfortable custom apparel, but we strive to give back to the veteran community. Our goal, as we grow and hire veterans, is to create an environment of camaraderie that veterans can connect with from their time in service. By doing so we want to provide local veterans with a smoother transition from military service while they find their new mission in life.
We want our products to represent the brotherhood we loved while serving and the patriotism we have for the country we served.
What's your back story?
After serving 13 years in the U.S. Air Force, Nicholas Franz, CEO of Frag Out Clothing Company, began his transition to civilian life. Like many veterans, Nick’s plan was simple, get a job and use his leadership skills to help a company.
That plan turned out to be more challenging than anticipated as companies wanted specific job related experience. So, Nick opted to use his G.I. Bill and go back to school to earn a marketing degree from Drexel University, where he caught the entrepreneur bug.
After a lot of research and personal reflection, Nick not only wanted a business that would support his young family but would also spark his passion and be self-funded, as well as a company that could help others struggling with their career and the transition to civilian life.
Frag Out Clothing Company was born in 2015.
Do you guys make custom shirts?
Yes, just Contact Us and we work with you to get you what you are looking for.
What does your flag design mean on the sleeve of your shirts?
The American flag is worn on the right shoulder with the union facing forward by many service members. The silhouette represents all those who are willing to stand in front of it and defend it and our country. Without the brave men and women that are willing to risk it all, we would have nothing.
How do I know what size shirt to buy?
The Mens Next Level 60/40 blend shirts are slightly fitted, which make them feel slightly smaller. Plus sizes are +$2.00.
Our Ladies shirts are form fitting and run small. If you are questioning what size to get, you should go with the larger size. It doesn’t mean you're larger, it means our shirts are a little smaller. You’re perfect.
Do I have to pay sales tax?
No. Being in the great state of PA, we do not have to charge sales tax on apparel.
How should I care for my item?
We recomend that you wash all your cloths in cold water and dry with low heat or hang dry. Heat is bad for any type of clothing. No Bleach. It may be beneficial to turn your shirts inside out when washing to prolong the life of the print.
